Thanks for the Memories!

Thanks for the Memories!

My Dear Readers & Friends-

I want to thank you for your support over the past three years. Yes, we launched the book, ENOUGH! The College Cost Crisis, almost exactly three years ago. Because of you, and your very kind 5-star reviews, I sent out a weekly blog on all things college. Of course, the Pandemic descended immediately after the book launch causing much upheaval in all our lives. And yet, with the help of loyal friends, and scouring sources all over the internet, I cranked out over 150 blogs since then. Shoot- I barely knew what a blog was much less what I wanted it to be for you. But, you were kind and patient as I worked hard to bring value every week.

During that time I choose to retire from my insurance career and have enjoyed working as a consultant, trainer, and course designer in various aspects of my former career, as well as in my church. It is just enough to keep me out of trouble, mostly.

Our post-Pandemic views on higher education have dramatically affected most families and students. As I see it, the times are forcing EVERYONE to rethink the automatic “must go to college” mantra. In part, that was the purpose of this blog. In part, I believe our culture is choosing to do the work to match their student’s orientations and gifts to their future.

As I look over my new retirement landscape, this is the right time to sunset this blog. I hope it has served you well. I hope you shared it with those who needed some ideas and guidance. If you got an idea or two for your student’s journey, it was worth the effort.

If you want to see other aspects of my work, check out www.lightwayenterprises.com. In between course designing, Webinar development, & training programs, I enjoy reading, sipping my ever-present iced tea, and watching the birds’ antics in the tree outside my office window. Later this summer, we plan to take a bucket list cruise around the British Isles. Can’t wait!

Again, thank you for being a part of my book’s journey. Sure couldn’t have done it without you!

Until a future time,

All My Best,

Bonnie Burkett
